This was my first 30 minute erg test! Rate was capped (held) at a 24 the entire time. I was pretty consistent, did not negative split. Maybe will try that next time. Need to watch technique. Be sure to SIT UP when you start getting tired, because the stroke becomes less fluid. Pull from your core, not from your arms.

Decided to do 5k today instead of the usual 20 minute piece. Kept rate around 25, going to 26 when I needed it. Felt like quitting after 400 meters, but kept going. Finally settled into it around 3600 meters to go. Not bad. Did while watching the all star game (fewer commercials than the Tour). Wasn't relaxed enough to really watch the game though.
